Like their killed or driven-out visitors, they left an unfilled gap in society and culture. Through modern technical means, the authors make it possible to virtually rebuild the synagogues and illuminate them once again. Photographs and constructional drawings are contrasted with the virtual reconstructions and in combination with the textpassages they result in a complete picture of the respective synagogue, once again included in the cityscape. Invisibilities made visible.
